It is go time for Iowa Wrestling. The Hawks will compete in the 2025 NCAA National Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Thursday-Saturday.

This is the biggest weekend of the year for college wrestling.

Iowa enters the tournament as the #2 ranked team with five wrestlers seeded in the top five that would be an All American.

Predicting how Iowa will do this year at Nationals is tougher than it has ever been for me as a fan.

Do you go gage your predictions by the rankings from the regular season before Big Tens or the seeds now at Nationals?

I released a blog with the brackets for all of the weights. You can speculate and guess yourself in circles. We will have to just wait and see.

As I told an Iowa Wrestling fan, not knowing how Iowa is going to do is part of the attraction of following Nationals. All part of being a fan.

I will use the old saying of: “One match at a time.”

I am looking at the first round and the Hawks going 8-1.

The Round of 16 on Thursday night gets better at Nationals every year. The Hawks will be in some very big matches on Thursday night. We will know at the end of that round what type of a tournament it is going to be.

As a fan of course I would love to see Iowa have a solid two rounds on Thursday to use as momentum for Friday.

Iowa Wrestling is my entertainment and I plan on being entertained this weekend.

I have the full schedule of Nationals listed below of how to follow the Hawks on TV and radio.

Let’s get ‘em in the middle.
