Last week it was announced that Buchanan had been selected as an NWCA Scholar All American.

Originally from Loyal, Wisconsin, Buchanan competed for Wyoming and Oklahoma before transferring to Iowa for his final season.

Buchanan was a four-time All American and a five-time NCAA Qualifier.

This is a great addition to the HWC to keep Buchanan in the program and competing in International competition while influencing the next generation of Iowa wrestlers.
