InterMat released rankings this morning after a big weekend of college wrestling.
Penn State and Iowa are still 1-2 in the Tournament and Dual Meet rankings. Penn State is at 124.5 and Iowa at 88 points. The big change was Oklahoma State going from #5 to #3 at 82 points.
Iowa has steadily gone up in team points as the season progresses.
The Hawks now have seven wrestlers ranked in the top eight that would make them All Americans.
Joey Cruz replaced Kale Petersen at 125 and is ranked #30. Cruz competed in both dual meets last weekend at 125.
The rest of the team are pretty much where they have been ranked the last three weeks.
Iowa will compete next at Soldier Salute on December 29-30 so I do not anticipate any changes to where the Iowa wrestlers will be ranked for the rest of December.
Iowa starts the Big Ten season at Wisconsin on Sunday, January 12.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.
Go Hawks!
I was hoping that , with the new tunnel, Iowa would use the “Back in Black” theme for their formal entrance…..similar to the football entrance. People have been sitting and chatting for 30-minutes They need to get excited. Frankly, the entrance so far has not gotten the crowd fired up.
