Incoming Iowa Wrestling recruits had a great weekend.
Isabella Gonzales and Samantha Sachs won California state titles in dominating fashion. Gonzales won the 120 lbs. title by going 5-0 with five pins. Sachs won the title at 130 with a 5-0 record with four pins and a tech fall.
Bo Bassett won the Southwest AA Regional in Altoona with three tech falls and a pin all in the first period. The Pennsylvania State Tournament is next weekend.
Harvey Ludington won the NJSIAA Region 6 in Jackson Township with two pins under a minute and a decision. The New Jersey State Tournament is next weekend.
Paolo Ciatto placed second at the CHSAA State Championship at 170 lbs.
Ty and Jarell Miller won titles at OHSAA Districts in Perrysburg.
Ty had three pins and a forfeit and Jarell was 4-0 with three pins and a major decision.
The Ohio State Tournament is next weekend.
