The Iowa Women’s Wrestling program will be well represented at the U.S. Open in Las Vegas on Thursday and Friday.
We will have past, current and future Hawks competing at The Expo at World Market Center.
This will be the first step to earn a spot on Team USA for the 2025 Senior World Freestyle Championships in Zagreb, Croatia in September.
Macey Kilty has already accepted a bid at 65 kg to Final X for the World Team Finals in June.
2024 Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades in the #1 seed at 68 kg after competing at 76 kg in the Olympics.
Kylie Welker is the #1 seed at 76 kg. She won a bronze at 72 kg at the 2024 World Championships.
2024 NCWWC national champion Felicity Taylor is the #1 seed at 53 kg.
Incoming recruits Isabella Marie Gonzales is #8 at 53 kg and Bella Williams is #8 at 57 kg.
