Iowa Wrestling will have an Open Mat on Saturday morning before the football game. An Open Mat is an unsupervised voluntary workout for Iowa and Hawk Club wrestlers. I am expecting a big crowd with this being Homecoming weekend and I expect to see former Iowa Wrestling greats to show up as well.
The doors of the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex will be open at 8 AM and the workouts will be between 8:30 AM and 10 AM. The bleachers will be pulled out and fans are welcomed to to attend.
Iowa faces Illinois for the Homecoming football game at 11 AM.
For the last Open Mat, I released a followup blog on Sunday at the request of Iowa Wrestling fans. I got a great response so I will again have a followup blog on Sunday.
