The Open Mat has released full NCAA Women’s Wrestling Rankings. Iowa is ranked #3 in both the Tournament and Team Dual Rankings.
The Hawks have twelve wrestlers ranked in the top seven in the country. Nanea Estrella (136) and Ella Schmit (143) are ranked #2 and Resse Larramendy (143) and Kylie Welker (170) are ranked #3. Iowa has twelve wrestlers ranked at eight weight classes.
Iowa does not have a wrestler ranked at 123 and 130.
I still believe that Iowa is underrated individually and as a team. The Hawks have a young team and will have the opportunities to prove it in competition.

Score a take down and you had better be showing progress toward a pin or the whistle will blow…..and wrestlers are back on their feet. Scoring is a little different but quick to learn. Get in the Ice Cream line and you might miss half the meet !!!
